Client Requirements
  • Filling containers: Palletized 4×200L drums, IBC containers
  • Automation processes include: Automatic container feeding, automatic IBC cleaning, automatic labeling, automatic cap loosening, automatic filling, automatic capping, automatic stretch wrapping
  • System requirements: 200L×4 drums and IBC containers must be filled within the same equipment. The filling room must meet clean environment requirements.

Operating Process

IBC Filling Process

  • Empty IBC containers are automatically fed into the system. Each IBC is tilted automatically for high-pressure rinsing, followed by suction drainage and air drying. The FFU modules in the filling cleanroom are activated simultaneously.
  • The cleaned IBC enters the labeling station for side-application labeling. Upon completion, the IBC is indexed into the clean filling room.
  • The vision system identifies the bunghole position, directing the servo-driven gripper to locate, descend, and loosen the cap.
  • After decapping, the gripper retracts, and the system performs automatic tare weight compensation. The filling lance then aligns with the bung and descends.
  • Once reaching the lower limit position, the inlet valve and bottom valve open. Coarse filling transitions to fine filling until the preset weight is reached.
  • The bottom valve closes. The filling lance rises. The capping gripper moves to the opening and completes torque-controlled tightening.
  • The filled IBC exits the filling room while the next empty IBC enters.
  • The filled IBC is conveyed to the wrapping station outside the clean area for automatic top-sheet covering and stretch film wrapping.
  • The finished IBC moves to the forklift roller conveyor for removal by forklift.

200L Drum Filling Process
The operational sequence for 200L drums largely aligns with the IBC process. While 200L drums bypass the rinsing and labeling stages, they undergo sequential decapping, filling, and capping within the clean filling room. Compared to IBCs, the decapping and tightening processes for 200L drums demand significantly higher precision in both positioning and torque control.
